10 Tricks to get to Digg’s Homepage!
Everybody, even me really wants to get to the homepage of digg. Of course, who wouldn’t?! It just feels so good when you get to the homepage. You get a lot of traffic, and traffic can convert to money! That’s why I give you these 10 simple tips to guarantee to get to the homepage of Digg.
1. Of course Headlines – A headline must sound like you will know the answer in minutes because diggers have the attention span of a gold fish you know. When you want to be on the homepage of digg, your title should be to the point!
Another thing, you should always have an attractive and luring title. Like these:
- Britney, Pregnant? Again?
- Kobe versus Shaq!
- I make more money than you!
Sorry about the Britney thing, hehehehehe… just pop out of my mind.
2.) Subtitle matters – After you have their attention on the title, most diggers read the subtitle next, so I prefer having a luring subtitle. I have seen this article interesting when I visited dig this morning, so let’s set it as our example.

See! Luring and interesting articles = more digs = more visitors!
3.) Include numbers on your title – It just makes your articles easier to understand and to read. See it for yourself, let’s make an example:
Ok, What’s better?
“Make Money Online or “10 ways to Make Money Online of course the second title wins it! It’s more attractive than compared to the first.
4.) Be Rude! – Be critique and rude. Make wars on your story for people to comments on it a lot! Be sure to piss them by reading your articles! But won’t be doing that technique today, ok?
5.) You should know your audience – Many people have made this mistake. They just don’t know what digg’s community is. Mostly diggers like tech so much, but try submitting tech articles on reddit, let’s see if you’ll get success because reddit has another community, a community that like social issues. – source: Albert Ng
6.) A digg button should always be there – Of course, making it easier for diggers to dig your article through a button is a good way of increasing your digs. Imagine a dig button just beside the article. Don’t make the diggers look for the button, show it to them!
Tip: You could download the sociable plug-in which includes the digg this button.
7.) Calculate the time – There’s also some algorithm going on on digg. If you have been on the popular section for about a half hour and haven’t received yet good numbers of Diggs, then don’t expect to hit the homepage. That’s why the first Diggs count!
8.) Encourage readers to Digg your article – Many diigers fall on this trick, I don’t know why? But if you tell them to digg it, they’ll digg it. Just leave a single line at the end of your article that tells theme to digg it.
9.) Submit on hot hours – You should submit your articles early in the morning (PST) because there are many online diggers in the morning. I’d say.. It takes timing to get to the frontpage!
10.) Try and try again – Lastly don’t lose your guts to get to the homepage. Yes, I know we all failed to try to get to the homepage the first time. But, what we should do is try and try again to get there. That is the digger’s goal of course!
