Advertising Packages Galore – Contest Winners
If you're new here, you really should subscribe to my blog's Full RSS feed for FREE! You don't want to miss informative posts! Thanks!
Alright guys, it’s here. Sorry for the big delay though as I’ve been working on tons of stuff lately. Of course, not all are related to internet marketing. I’ve got a pretty hefty social life too.
I’m still trying to get back on track at the moment as school has just ended and my schedule is pretty scrambled, but you will here from me from time to time.
Now for the winners.
And so it happened. I used Jeff’s contest winner picker. The video post idea is too much hassle because I have to copy, paste, print, cut then draw whilst I can just copy, paste then draw ;-)
So without further ado (Dang! That line is used so many times, gotta stop using it) here are the contest winners:
The Winners
- Package One: Mr Review
- Package Two: Indocontest
- Package Three: Bukiki
- Package Four: SRajaram (betting to all sponsors worked!)
- Package Five: IT Rush
- Package Six: Problogging
- Package Seven: Viral King
Congratulations! I will be in contact with you using the email address you left in the comments section with the instructions on how you can claim your prizes.
Next Batch?
For the next batch of prizes, I’ll be packaging ebooks, courses and softwares. If you still haven’t saw it, check the whole prize list here.
$300 Cash Plus Ipod Nano? Not Bad For Beating A Book Author And A Few Names
Sorry for the bullyish title. I just can’t resist it ;-)
March 13 2008, Matt just opened the floodgates to one of the best viral tools ever – Optin Accelerator (You missed it, the floodgates are now shut tight. My list got the exclusive news about it. Of course if you want to be in, sign up through the form above.)
After telling my list about it on prelaunch time, the first leaderboard was up. Here they are on the first day:
- Todd Gross
- Chris Freville
- Reed Floren
- Brian T. Edmondson
- Chad Van Norman
- Ben Mack
- Carl Ocab
- Tan Jian Hui Fabian
- Ashley Yould
- William Quek
The next day, I sent an email blast to my list again telling that Optin Accelerator is live. Look where that got me:
- Mike Filsaime
- Todd Gross
- Ben Mack
- Stephanie Mulac
- Carl Ocab
- Chris Freville
- Michael Cheney
- Brian Edmondson
- Ashley Yould
- Gabriel Aguinaga
Unfortunately for us, Mike joined and yep, full slammed the competition.
Day four – the day that shook me down a little. A lot of guys were jumping. Especially this “Satyajeet” who came out of nowhere.
- Mike Filsaime
- Gross
- Chris Freville
- Satyajeet
- Michael Cheney
- Carl Ocab
- Gabriel Aguinaga
- Ben Mack
- Stephanie Mulac
- Teck How
And when Matt finally welded the gates closed. I drizzled down to top eight. Not bad considering Derrik VanDyke jumped in.

Anyhow, I’m ABOVE big Ben, author of the infamous “Think Two Products Ahead”. Sorry Ben.

Sorry Ben – I’m two products two steps ahead of you ;-)
Blogger Holding $1000 Contest Every Month!
This post is sponsored by Thousand Dollar Project and posted by Charles Lau.
Well, I have never seen a guy who is as daring as this next reviewee I am going to talk about. This guy is virtually holding contests every month to give away $1000 in cash! I was pretty shocked to see such a daring move from an Internet Marketer who self-proclaimed himself to be successful in his trade, and I believe such a marketer must have been making quite a lot of money online to be able to support his stand of giving away $1000 every month. His name is Chris – based in the UK – and he has a make money online website, which consists mainly a blog and a forum.
A Video Review Of His Website Live!
Is He Really Successful As An Internet Marketer?
I don’t really know Chris personally. But judging from his website and the enthusiasm of the visitors to ask him questions about making money online, he is giving me an idea that he might be making lots of money. In my opinion, a truly successful Internet Marketer must be making money online consistently to support his life.
According to Chris, he is making most of his money through buying and selling websites, and helping people to optimize their websites for search engines. And he has set up a VIP Members Club to teach people how to make money online. This club is where anybody who is interested in making money online can tap into his ways of working with this business so that they may get similar results.
Thousand Dollar Project as Make Money Online Niche
I must admit that not many people including myself is daring enough to start such a niche. But what does “thousand dollar project” really mean? In my opinion, it is a make-money-online niche with the unique selling point of giving $1000 prize in his website. He is really daring enough to put upfront a $1000 cash prize to be given away for free in return of something to make his website a better place for his market. If you take a look at his doing from another point of view, he is paying his website $1000 every month, which is similar to an employee for working hard to help him make back that money. That is considered affordable to hire an employee who can make back some potential money for him.
Will His Monthly Investment of $1000 Pay Him Back In Future?
As I was reading through his website, I can see him having lots of faith in his work. But is he going to make it through? It is likely since he has ordered a review here to attract relevant traffic to his website. Given that a review which costs only a peanut when compared to his $1000 stake, it can help to generate some interesting income for his website in one way or another. Putting a $1000 stake every month, it means he is rushing the public to notice him as soon as possible. Everybody will start to gather around his website to find out about make-money-online topic, as well as to win that money by participating in his make-money-online forum. The topic that his forum is focusing is very much to do with the Internet marketers who may want to get exposure for their existence. It’s all Win-Win situation here since Chris is creating a buzz in his website while the visitors are getting their exposure as much as possible and to buy and sell their internet marketing products from there. Potentially speaking, he is going to build up a serious group of people who are interested in the area of internet marketing in the fastest pace as possible with the $1000 incentive. But of course, he is going attract a minority group of people who are only interested in his $1000 and are not serious in his blog or forum.
Because his domain name has very much to do with thousand dollar, he might face some difficulties in changing its niche which has nothing to do with thousand dollars. Also, looking at the rate that his business is going, there is a good chance that people might be interested to buy his website in the near future for its database.
Paying People To Go To His Website
He has an affiliate program in his make-money-online website where he is paying the affiliates for every click that goes into his website. This amount of money could potentially be a lot if you are going to advertise it in huge traffic websites. But again, when I think about his monthly prize giveaway of $1000, this money to pay the affiliates is just very small amount of money to build up the traffic for his website.
My Navigation Experience With His Website
As I was surfing through his website, he basically has quite a few features here. One of the best features which he has done very well is his Thousand Dollar Project Forum. In just few months, he is already having more than 5000 posts. I think his thousand dollar project is working effectively. People can simply go crazy, wanting to find out how to get his $1000 for the coming month.
Next, his site navigation could be even better if he creates some menu buttons. That “Check Out Our Links” has a misleading thought that they are of external links, or somewhere along that meaning. If he could create some menu buttons for us to have an overview of how we can better surf his website and putting more emphasis on some of the things such as his VIP club in a unique place where his visitors can see, that could become a better surfing experience for a typical visitor.
At the main index page, I like his “About Me” link and its anchored text. It gives me a better feel of his “About Me” page before I start clicking to understand his website. And his “About Me” page is actually a post from his own forum. While this post can be seen directly from his blog as well as his forum, I felt there is no synchronization between his blog and his forum. Maybe, just writing a page at his blog to give a feel of “homeliness” because I still see his “About Me” from the same blog here.
Will This Idea Of Giving Money Going To Work?
Well, time will prove his work to be worthwhile after all. While he is providing such a niche, we should all be grateful enough to participate and stand a chance to win that prize since it is within reach. And on his part, he is probably seasoned enough to understand some of the things such as anticipating a huge traffic to take care of since he is attracting traffic from his affiliate program, and managing his traffic to accept his money every month. Having a chance to win $1k is quite attractive since we only need to interact around on the Internet.
Making your website a better place for us all in the arena of Internet Marketing, I seriously hope he will be able to make it through since his stake is huge in both prizes and linkbaiting. By the way, I am already seeing some results in his forum which is attracting people to post their thoughts…

The Tactical Freelancer – 4 Easy Steps To Conquer The Competition
This article has been guest posted by the folks that gave you 101 Ways to Make Money Online
If you are going to be a freelancer, then be a successful one! Forget this working for chump change non-sense that has plagued the freelance world for so long. Forget the constant worry of whether or not you made the right decision to work from home. Just tuck your head between your legs, jump overboard and never look back.
- Mass Market Your Tail Off
Are you going to be a guppy or a shark? If your going to make any money freelancing, you better start thinking like a shark. If you decide to take the easy route, sit back and wait for opportunities to come to you, they are not going to. Why, because I am going to sneak in during the night and take them before you have a chance, don’t let that happen. You need to get your name out there, don’t let them know that you are number one, show them that you are the only one. This is 2008, the Internet is filled with web 2.0 marketing opportunities that can put you at the forefront of the freelancing industry. You don’t need to have a MySpace page, a blog, a Facebook account, a Twitter profile, absolutely not, instead have every single one of them plus anything else you can find. Make each one of those opportunities point back to your freelance portfolio. Everywhere someone goes they should see a page about “Mister X” the freelancer. Make yourself a household name and demand their attention. - Create Your Own Hit List
Spend a week or more scouring the web for targets to add to your hit list. If you are a freelance writer, write down the biggest, most popular blogs, websites and magazines in your topic of interest. Put together your master portfolio, start spreading your name around the web like magic pixel dust and then plan your attack. Put together the most impressive resume you have ever seen, with some of the best writing ever read and email it directly to the editor of each individual publication. Allow one week for response, if you don’t hear back, fire off a follow up email. If they reply with no interest, move on to the next source on the list. Once you get to the bottom of your hit list, re-write your original articles and send another resume to the publications that passed on you. Don’t give up! Sometimes persistance is what will land the gig. - Knock Out the Competition with Past Clients
Have you worked for big clients in the past, use them as wow tools. Let people know that you have done work for “Client B”, impress them a little bit. If a future client knows that you have worked for a large, or larger client, they will want to use you for their team. They instantly feel that you are more credible and will perform the job better.Don’t have any past freelancing experience? Sure you do, the clients just prefer to remain undisclosed, right? Let’s face it, you don’t want to stamp “haven’t done this before” across your resume or people won’t want to hire you. If you feel that manufacturing a couple of clients is to unethical, then build some clients. Dig up a couple bad looking websites and offer them your web design services for free, if you can use them in your portfolio. Or contact blogs like this one your reading that allows you to write for them, and write a couple of articles. Now you have Carl Ocab, the Kid Blogger on your resume. - Avoid the Filler and Fluff
Listen, no matter how hard up you are for money, your time is better spent promoting yourself to larger clients than bumming around in the forums and freelance exchanges working for milk money. Avoid them at all costs, the majority of your competition are spending their days on those sites trying to low ball each other to get the work, so let them have it. Why make $5 when you can just as easily make $50 with the steps above?
There is a lot that goes into being a successful freelancer, but these tips should give you a place to start. Its an extremely busy market so you need to be aggressive(not overly) and get the job done. Marketing yourself is everything in this business so the quicker you can build your name, the quicker you can build your bank account, enjoy!
Beneficial Mistakes
Yesterday, I was walking with my little brother at the beverage area of our local mart. We were looking for drinks to gulp down on our way home. There were hundreds of different colas. You know, those piles of drinks in a long open fridge.
Then I saw this weird looking, 1980’s style orange drink that says “With real pulp inside”.
Suddenly, something popped out of my head.
I remembered this little story (urban legend?) that used to haunt a local orange drink here in our country.
They have this promise that their drink has real orange ingredients in it. But during the bottling process, one of their machines broke and spilled the dried pulp over the orange drink.
In spite of that, the bottling went ahead. The drink was sent and sold to almost all stores nationwide.
Big deal? YES, first of all they don’t serve that kind of drink and second, there wasn’t any drink that has real pulp before.
People may not like it. So what they did was they bleached out a commercial and advertised their “new, with pulp bits inside” and guess what? sales skyrocketed!
That maybe an urban legend folks but hey, we’ve learned something.
What looks like a problem can be turned into a benefit. You can make something unique out of it.
Of course, if something is really bad – like the drink could make people bald or make them sick, this type of marketing can’t help you with that.
