Night is falling and you just can’t see, is this illusion or reality?

School Is Out, I’m Back!

By Carl on March 14, 2008

Later this day, we just finished taking our 4th quarterly exam (it’s a test that covers ALL the things discussed from start to end) and at last, I can breath clearly again.

So that’s a wrap, school is out.

I don’t normally do this, but what the heck? Here are some pictures of “us”:

Alright, nuff show. I’ll miss this school year - it was a blast.

Help! WordPress Plugin Hack Attacks

By Carl on March 2, 2008

Update: Thanks to Hafiz Dhanani for the tip (via the comments section). The contributor account seems to have a back door access to the two plugins that were “hacked”.

It seems like someone is playing with my WordPress plugins lately.

When I woke up this morning, I was surprised to see that the settings of the plugin Related Posts was changed. The items that it was supposed to show was set to one - before it was three. The tag before the related posts were touched too and the show excerpt option was set to true which was set to false before.

The Feed Count plugin was also left altered and instead for it to point to Feedburner, it was suspiciously linking to kasakk.blogspot.com that seems to be a reader of my blog kasakk.blogspot.com/2008/02/14-years-old-blogger-is-it-littlle.html (I’m not putting a live link just for sure)

Any advice guys?

About The New WordPress Theme

By Carl on February 25, 2008

A lot of people have been asking me lately “Where did you get your theme?” “Who designed it?” “Can I use it on my blog too?”

Actually, this post about the new design was only half the story. You see, I ordered a PSD blog design from Design Guru Ryan for $250 to get a completely unique one. His first concept was this:

Although the design was clearly unique, the colors didn’t blend that well and some parts of the blog did not get that much importance like the signup box - that I wanted to prioritize.

After receiving the design, I requested a full revision with the colors I wanted and some more fine tunning. I then got this second one:

I was stunned with the sparkle of the red shadings so I said to myself “This must be it”. Although I didn’t feel that much comfortable with the logo and the featured post box,…

What Could You Learn From A 13-Year Old Blogger?

By Carl on February 15, 2008

Some guy on Warrior started a rather controversial thread asking “Would You Subscribe To A 13-Year Old’s List?”

The post was blazzing, not to mention 153 replies and 2788 views! A member even made a video about it:

More about that story over here.

Kudos Kevin, you’re da man!

Digg, I’m Sorry

By Carl on January 25, 2008

Experimenting is my thing.

At the age of 5, I always ask my dad for old scraps, electronics and stuff. I open it, but never put a single screw back again.

At the age of 8, I open up my toys and connected it with anything I can find in our house. I remember the days when my mom would yell at me “Clean up your mess!”

Experimenting is really my thing…

And I did it again - this time, with Digg. The result?

“My Blog Got Banned On Digg”

Not only my blog but also my account, and that’s a pretty big loss for me. I love Digg and I visit it almost everyday to hang out and read interesting stories.

I love reading those everyday Apple news, Ron Paul hoorays and especially looking at the Digg’s image section. I can’t bookmark them now.

Today, I’m gonna use my mom’s advice. I’ll clean up this mess, so…
