Heads Up!
Last December I asked in a poll, “How Much Do You Currently Make Monthly?“.
I think it’s very important to survey your market.
You wouldn’t know what you’re going to get – what you think your market is might not be what it REALLY is.
So without further ado, here are the results…
(It’s not what I expected)

(It might not be 100% accurate but it should be pretty close)
Start a blog and make money
Now since almost 50% is making $0-$100/month, starting tomorrow until the next 2 weeks, I’m going to post EVERYTHING someone new to making money with blogging will need to start a blog.
I’m not that good at teaching (obviously, I can’t even get my spelling and grammar write!) but I’ll do my best ;-)
The posts will vary in text and video. It’ll be advance strategies that will take new bloggers from 0 to where they want to go.
I’ll discuss everything from why you should

DANGER: Extreme rant ahead. Proceed with caution!
*START RANT*
Is content king? I think that’s overrated.
The way I see it…
Marketing is king.
Let me throw some examples first:
Case 1: Coca Cola vs Pepsi
Since 1975, Pepsi has been running “The Pepsi Challenge” wherein they hand 2 blank cups to bystanders in malls – one containing Pepsi and the other one, Coke, and then they’d ask which tastes better.
The result? Pepsi topped the challenge.
But Coca Cola is still the number one soft drink. Why? Advertising.
Case 2: Problogger.net
It’s widely accepted that Darren is the #1 blogger who blogs about how to make money blogging (And I amen to that) but does Darren give “the” best content about blogging to make money? I’m not saying that Darren’s content sucks, Darren gives high octane info. But does he give the best content around the blogosphere?
Of course not, there are a lot of bloggers out there who give hard core

Last month I was able to speak to a 70ish crowd of marketing and sales people about blogging, how it can help their business and a cool Google Suppression Attack that they can do after the seminar.
It was fun and sort of funny because in that small crowd, 2 of my classmates’ parents where there – and I didn’t even talked about it in school, actually I don’t talk about it at school.
Anyway, here are some spy pics…

Sometimes, Things Just Get Out Of Control
It’s unusual to say the least…
Last month, when we were on our way to the beach, my mom’s cell phone rang. It’s not really out of the blue because my mom has an event organizing business so a lot of people would call her from time to time.
But this time, it scared me.
“Hello? Ah, this is from Carl’s school?” My mom answered.
My heart started pumping like I was running on a treadmill for 15kph. They talked for like 5 minutes and after my mom hanged up, there was sudden silence.
My mom didn’t say a thing.
So just an icebreaker, I asked “What are we going to do first at the beach?”
That didn’t turned out well, to make the long story short – I failed in 3 subjects and I am going to summer school.
Then just last week, my dad and I talked about it. It was a long talk, one of

As I said on my post yesterday, last last week, I’ve been interviewed by a national TV station.
It aired yesterday.
“I’m on TV!”
That’s the sentence that was on my mind, after dinner.
Even though I always see my self on video and on other blogs here and there, me on TV is still quite entertaining. Heck, my classmates were still in disbelief seeing me even though they knew that I was making money and such.

It was inaccurate though – very inaccurate, they said my name wrong “Carlo Ocab”. They said that I was making $55/month *only*. They got that because of the “Get Featured Here For Only $55/Month” on the sidebar!

But it was good experience overall ;-)
The name of the station by the way is QTV, and the name of the show is Qtube. It was a new show and it aired around 10:30 PM so there were not much views.

Carl Ocab is one of the most successful teenage bloggers on the net. But remarkably, Carl was just 13 years old when he rose to fame with his hugely popular “make money online” website: www.carlocab.com

Hi, my name is Carl Ocab or as many call me, the “Kidblogger”. I’m a 16-year old kid from the beautiful archipelago Philippines.
