Craig Desorcy is an Internet marketing tech coach, helping people put together the many pieces it takes to launch and successfully sell information products and services online.  He has mastered every element of WordPress, and has a website sharing his insights to people who are interested in having their own blog and profiting from it.

Many Internet marketers have approached him for technical help related to WordPress blogs. After helping many in the area of security, he decided to create this product for the best interest of the Internet marketers.  (Definitely for himself as well as.)  I would think there is a good leverage here as he is creating one product to solve many similar problems which are all related to the same blogging platform – WordPress.

What is Blog Lock Down

It is an ebook, accompanied with 13 training videos to guide you on how to secure your WordPress blogs one step at a time.  The author went through all the various security loopholes around your WordPress, as well as within your WordPress.  I believe this Blog Lock Down product is actually a standard set of security preventions that he has adopted along the way after helping many Internet marketers configure their WordPress blogs.

Blog Lock Down is basically a step-by-step ebook with 90 pages of words and screenshots to help you secure your WordPress.  As I went through his tutorial, I realized that he is trying to change all the standard information in the WordPress configurations, the actual database information, and its files.

It is so comprehensive that I wonder what else a hacker can do.  The only thing left is with the actual WordPress codes which he has also emphasized to the readers that they have to keep their WordPress version up-to-date!

Is this product really useful?

The whole process of securing your WordPress blog is really very boring.  It’s not Craig’s fault actually.

I would suggest to go through his videos.  It is much easier to watch the videos than to read through the ebook because of the nature of how websites are configured.  There is still a certain level of technical terms that you have to understand in order to follow the steps closely what the ebook/video is trying to explain with screenshots.  Though video is much easier to follow, there are still certain information which only the ebook will provide more in-depth and you should understand about security.

I would say that CPanel has made things much easier to configure the web hosting.  And with  CPanel’s popularity being used across many web hosting companies, it is very likely that you will be using one.   (Though it’s not for my web host who used their own custom-made hosting applications.)

Conclusion

Though security is mandatory as part of our website maintenance, many of us don’t really focus on the security of our blogs.  We just want to have an easy-to-use application to get ourselves started.  Hence, Blog Lock Down is an information product which is good to have.  Though many of us would think that it is not necessarily important to get one ourselves, there is still a potential risk to take if we don’t secure our WordPress blogs.

Another thing I want to highlight to any potential customers here.  Though we may assume that only WordPress users may be the potential customers of Blog Lock Down, please do check the following pre-requisites so that you wouldn’t be so lost after acquring this info product:

1. CPanel – Make sure that you are using a web host which is using CPanel as your hosting management system.
2. WordPress – Obviously, we need to have this blogging software.  But CPanel should be able to help you to install one easily if you don’t have.

There is a very big problem here.  Many of us wanted to start our own blogs, but it’s always because of insufficient time that the blogs are sometimes quite quiet or even been abandoned.  For most of us in the blogosphere, blogging is more like a hobby than a full time job.  If it is our full time job, blogging is so crucial to us that we must always have something fresh for our readers or else we will not be able to bring money home to feed our family.  And by the way, I don’t mind to do that as a full time.  :)

What is BlogProfitz?

BlogProfitz is a hosted service which helps you to monetize your existing WordPress blogs automatically.

What it basically does is to bring in contents and affiliate links automatically to your WordPress blogs on a schedule basis.  There is no installation of software needed, except that you got to have an existing blog ready for it to post to.  You don’t have to go through all the  hassle of doing FTP or to tweak the software to work before you can focus on the real stuff.

What are  the requirements before you can use BlogProfitz?

1. You definitely need a WordPress.   You can do it in your self-hosted domain name, or you can just start a free blog found at WordPress.com.

2. You need accounts from Affiliate networks because it is how you make your money from.  Simply sign up with any of the following affiliate networks which BlogProfitz support and you are ready!

1. Affiliate Programs – This is where you enter all your affiliate IDs so as to be eligible for all the commissions made in your blogs.

2. Posting Rules – This is where you set all the rules of the kind of contents you want your blog to be posted.  This includes the affiliate networks you want to be associated, as well as the articles, videos and  news  you want to retrieve from.

3. Your Blogs – This is just asking for basic information about your blog such as your blog’s username and password.  With this, you allow BlogProfitz to access your WordPress blogs directly.

Blogging as usual on your WordPress blog

5. Best Gains: This list shows the products with the highest gravity, momentum, ranking change, Payout averages and more.
6. Recurring $: You can find a list of products with recurring commissions.
7. Browse All: You will see a similar kind of product listing as in ClickBank ,  except that they are showing slightly different statistics.  I would think that the statistics over at CBengine is much more useful as it has rank change and momentum to show me how the products are generally faring.
8. Category List: You will see many products are listed in the different categories determined in ClickBank marketplace.  This should give you a rough idea where the Internet market is focusing more towards.

2) And on the right navigation, you will see another “Find Products” section.  This is a search engine where you can find very specific products according to your keywords and search criteria.
I wish to highlight 6 most important things in the search criteria when doing your research.

1. Categories: Choose the Top categories and Sub categories which you think is suitable for your product search.
2. Ranking:  Choose only the Top few ranking if you want to market only profitable products.
3. Keywords: Needless to say, put in the keyword relevant to your niche.
4. Look In: This is where you want to search your keywords in. For example, you wish to search by the body text and/or title, or even the clickbank id.
5. Commissions: This is a sum of money where you are targeting to make for every sale.
6. Custom: Or you can choose a certain custom fields to configure against.

Something interesting over here is that we get to see product landing pages, where you will not be able to find it at the actual ClickBank website.

On the product landing page, you will see the following fields which I want to highlight:

I have a strong feeling that after you have seen the graphs, you should have a very good idea of marketing which product to make online commissions. :)
