Getting double listings in Google…

By chris stirling On December 9, 2007 7 COMMENTs

This article is guest posted by Chris Stirling

It turns out the co-owner of StomperNet, Andy Jenkins, has something to get off his chest.

You see Andy Jenkins has long been an advicate of providing high quality free content for his readers. If you look at any of his 17+ ecommerce websites you can see that he fills them with just that – high value content. As a result all of his sites get massive traffic because not only do the search engines love his sites but so do his readers.

Well it appears that a blogger by the name of “Ryan” recently made a post that basically said that Andy was no longer doing what he preaches. Ryan claimed that Andy is no longer creating good free content.

Andy shot back with this video that is probably the best free, high quality content there is, simply pure solid information with no required

How I Snatched The Throne In Google For The Keyword Make Money Online – 7 Golden SEO Tricks

By Carl On November 11, 2007 85 COMMENTs

Got A Reason Why You Can’t Do It?

If a 14-year old like me made it to the frontpage of the bloody competitive keyword “Make Money Online,” Do you have a reason why you can’t?

No, SEO isn’t that hard really. All you have to do is know the basics and treat Google like a 3 year old boy looking for the cookie jar in a big kitchen.

Larry page once said:

Basically, our goal is to organize the world’s information and to make it universally accessible and useful.

That’s what the little boy wants then what do you do? You FEED it to him – Easily.

Just imagine beating your competitor with thousands of backlinks and you with let’s say a hundred or two. Just check out how this blog with 30k backlinks overtook Bidvertiser with over 3,000,000! Yes, those are 6 zeros.

I hope I got you excited (But not too excited that you peed). Here are the 7 Golden SEO tricks that will surely

After 9 Months Of Blogging, I’m Number One – My Journey To The Frontpage

By Carl On November 5, 2007 68 COMMENTs

That’s 9 months and a day for my blog, and yes there I am sitting proudly on the throne of the bloody competitive keyword “Make Money Online:”

I’m number one in Google for the keyword “Make Money Online?

And no, don’t try to optimize if you aren’t that strong to face all the “You can’t do it” the “You’re not good enough” comments of other people. You’d receive an avalanche of those on your way to the frontpage because some a lot of people don’t have the guts to try it, so all they do is stop everyone from doing it – where they’re afraid of you reaching the frontpage.

But of course, like what I always say:

If a kid like me can do it, what stops you?

It’s just a matter of time, knowledge and some tricks on the side.

That reminds me, that “tricks” is the whole point of this article. I’ll continue on tomorrow as school starts again (End of our sem-break, darn!)

Dropped? A Detailed Hypothesis Of Why Google Dropped Our Pagerank

A Detailed Hypothesis Of Why Google Dropped Our Pagerank

First of all, I have to be honest with you that I don’t totally care about Pagerank. I did a few months ago but when I realized that it was nothing but a number between 1 to 10, it stopped my obsession.

Think about a world without pagerank. No spamming, no blackhat guys, no linktrains, no linkbuying, no linkfarming and no stupid threads on DP people asking when the next pagerank update is. Well then here it is your long awaited pagerank update. It’s not what you expected, didn’t you?

It happened yesterday, October 24 when Google shattered the blogosphere. It was all around. Someone even made a comic strip about it.

Questions have been roaming around lately on what really happened and why did all these sites’ PR dropped. No one really knows, but here are my theories about it:

Text Links

It has been confirmed, yet people just tend to ignore it – and I’m one of

SEO Analysis of Carlocab.com

By David Elefant On October 3, 2007 10 COMMENTs

I thought it would be interesting to do an SEO analysis of Carl’s blog. Carl has optimized his blog for the keyword “Make Money Online”. As of today, October 3, 2007 http://www.carlocab.com ranks No.2 in Google and No.13 in Yahoo for “Make Money Online”.

The blog also ranks well for other variations of the three keywords:

- “money online make” No. 1 in Google, No. 4 in Yahoo.
- “online make money” No. 2 in Google, No. 4 in Yahoo.

Backlinks - Google reports 358 backlinks
I was only able to find the main keywords in 2 Anchor Text Links of the top ten backlinks.

The PR of the top 30 web sites that link back are:
1 = PR 7
4 = PR 6
4 = PR 5
10 = PR 4
4 = PR 3
2 = PR 2
1 = PR 1
4 = NA

Very Good! Carl has worked hard at getting backlinks from sites with high PR.

And I Thought Google Doesn’t Allow Link Buying

By Carl On August 10, 2007 9 COMMENTs

When Santa.. Err I mean Google goes Baddy Bad badRemember the time when SEO’s were going crazy? But what about this, could this be crazier? FYI, The Google Checkout blog has a PR of 8 (Just imagine where a link there would take you!) and “what if”? they are selling links with YOUR desired anchor text. Oh yea, Remember, they give deep links too ;)

Sounds impossible?

Now take a look at this snip from the Google Checkout blog:

In addition, Google Checkout helps make it even easier for consumers to find us when they search for items like Titleist Pro V1 Golf Balls by displaying the Google Checkout badge next to our search results. Ultimately Golfballs.com has seen an increase in revenue through the combined efforts of Google Product Search and Google Checkout.

Smell something

Something is Fishy With Google

Smells like a paid Review for me. Heh…

So how much was the review then? Any takers? Well, honestly, if they sell paid reviews for even thousands of $$$, I’ll bet LOADS
