Yes, that 6,856 subscribers under the sidebar is right from feedburner.
The title says it all, it’s a massive heart stopping mystical feed count spike – that happened in just one day…
I’m not saying it’s legit though.
It looks like someone is trying to spam me using FeedBlitz, it’s not that bad. But of course, it will mislead some people and mostly advertisers. I’ll observe it for a day or two and then I’ll ask Feed Blitz about it.
For now, let me enjoy the big numbers and visualize what would happen in the near future ;-)

Or maybe my post gaved those spammers an idea to give you 5000 more subscribers ;) If I really gaved them an idea to do this then you are happy to have me as a friend :P Man you should add one more fule for increasing feed readers: Hire someone to spam your account (like they did to me :) ) and enjoy the 6000 subscribers fr a day ;) Sign in messenger with your id and well talk about this!

checkout forums.feedburner.com. There are others reporting this same problem today. I am sure it will be fixed by tomorrow ;)

I found that my feed count doubled when NetNewsWire became free, since it’s one of the default feeds :)

I had the same thing happen to me. My subscriber count more than doubled, taking me completely by surprise. I checked Feedburner, and sure enough, the culprit was Feedblitz. I knew I didn’t have the number of subscribers via Feedblitz that Feedburner was reporting, especially since I stopped using Feedblitz for new subscribers!
But still, it’s VERY NICE to stare at those misleading numbers! So I know what you’re experiencing. :)

Same heart-stopping moment here. From 150 the other day to 900 yesterday to 1600 today. I love the sudden increase LOL
