How Long Have You Been Trying to Make Money?

Our last poll about posting frequency ran pretty well and much what I expected it would be, and since there’s no active poll for today, I’m gonna ask another question about the most common reason why most people hardly make money online.
If you ask “the gurus” how long they have been trying to make money and how long it took them to finally crack the money making code, you’ll find out how much determination a person needs to make some good bucks out of the net.
So the question is…
Note to the word trying, it’s not the time that you’ve been making money, it’s the time that you’ve tried until you made a substantial amount.
Anyway, do you have any predictions on who will be the winner? Guess what will win in the poll and to those who’ve answered it correctly, I’ll draw a lucky winner and link him up in the next poll results.
Poll results will be next month, so watch out the ultimate post on how I made BIG bucks from my blog starting from $0. Don’t ever miss it, subscribe to Full feed rss for some alerts!

I look forward to that ultimate post, you know how to sell your blog!
Good thing someone notices. hehe
I actually started using Adsense back in 2005, but never really generated anything from it. So officially I guess I’ve been trying to make money online for 3-4 months, because I started using seo and ads after setting up my blog.
I do alright and have been making money for longer then a year, I guess there is no answer for me to select? :(
nice blog by the way
But how long have you been trying?
As of yet I haven’t tried to make any money from the internet. I guess down the track once I have established a stronger foundation for my two blogs I will definetly consider it.
But I’m not up to the stage yet.
I didn’t make anything substantial until I started thinking of this online thing as a Business. Before, I would buy “the next big thing” work at it a little and then put it aside for the next, next big thing.
I’d come up with a great idea get started on it, then come up with another great idea and start on it.
It didn’t take long to realize theres no money in “half-a**ing” all your efforts. You really have to come up with a good plan, prioritize it and keep working on it even after you meet those goals.
I stopped “half-a**ing” things after about a year online. At about 1 1/2 years I started making a decent extra income. At about 2 years I was making enough to go full-time and support my family.
Great post Carl and congrats on making #9 on Mark’s Top Make Money Online Blogs list ;) http://www.45n5.com/top100/
