I think it was 2 months ago when I showed you the books I bought from Amazon.
One of the 4 books there was Mark Joyner’s The Great Formula. The first half of the book often mentions another book of his “The Irresistible Offer”. Although I haven’t bought it yet, I can’t believe that the tagline “How to Sell Your Product or Service in 3 Seconds or Less” is possible.
Well, I was wrong.
You see, our hotel vacation this Christmas was not really an all day off for me (Like what I wanted it to be). I dunno, I think I now breath marketing, I eat marketing, I…
Speaking of eat, that’s where the story started. When we checked-in in our hotel rooms, they humbly gave us coupons for 2 free continental breakfast. So in the morning, my dad and I went to the hotel’s restaurant hoping to get the meal.
The customer service was awesome! Door opens then bam, a fat smiling guy greeted us. He then introduced us to what they have for that day, which was hash brown, perfectly tendered beef, hot choco, different kinds of cereals, all kinds of sausages, omelet with ham, cheese and everything, you name it. Just wow.
Suddenly he asked for our ticket. My dad gave it… then the selling started.
We didn’t know that their continental breakfast only consisted of coffee, milk and bread. He then said that if we add a measly 150 pesos (That’s roughly $4) we can get the whole buffet!
With just a blink of an eye, we upgraded and got the buffet.
We thought the thing was bargain but for a little while, I observed that almost all of the people in the restaurant upgraded to buffet! Let’s say 9 out of 10 people did.
And that all happened with a little sweet talk, killer smiles and yes… almost 3 seconds or less.

Nice view there Carl! “I Think I now breath marketing, I eat marketing…” it’s true. I remember the times where it would take me hours just to put up a good opening line to my post, the times where I’d think and nothing would come out… well I guess its just a matter of setting up a very good goal and priorities, we should learn how to think and act like a blogger in everything we do and success follows. Nice post Carl!

Just goes to show that there really is no such thing as a free lunch (or breakfast) very clever strategy and not really any different to what we use to build a list free articles, manuscripts and the like to get a name to then let them have the big pitch..

Just goes to ahow that there is no such thing a a free lunch.. of breakfast… who could resist the buffet once they see it and the waiter has got his pitch in.
Bit like how internet marketers build their lists. Give them something for nothing, article, report, manuscript and then hit them wit the pitch for the back end.
3 seconds though. That is good.
Althoug a OTO is not far behind it.
