With an increasing number of websites published live every day, every referral from external sites clicking into your site really counts in your return-on-investment (ROI) as your website starts to take the role of converting them into buyers.
There are different models online to provide the linkage between websites, and Pay Per Click advertising networks are one of them. Pay per click advertisement is one of the most effective advertising methods because it has everything to do with the visitors’ non-monetary call-to-action. It gives better exposure to the advertisers as the publishers get instant gratification for every click made.
For better understanding of thie review, website owners who buy advertisement space on external sites are known as “advertisers”. Website owners who provide advertising space on their websites are known as “publishers”.
Introduction
In today’s review, we are going to talk about Netklix. Netklix (pronounced as “net clicks”) is a pay-per-click online advertising network. It specializes in creating pay-per-click ads on the publisher’s website so that he or she can make money for every click made. That will also mean that the advertiser will get to enjoy free brand awareness for most of the traffic that is not clicking on his or her advertisement. Netklix uses thematic content channels which the publishers’ websites are categorized under. This will mean the traffic is more targeted with probably an interest in the ads.
Background of Netklix
Netklix has been around since 1999 as an affiliate network, offering affiliate programs to affiliates in UK and USA, which the businesses will only pay when there are results. Hence the affiliates are making money from their website by showing Netklix adverts.
The new Netklix Pay per Click Ad Network offers the web owners and bloggers an easy way to make more money or to advertise out of their own websites. They will receive revenue for every valid click tracked by the Netklix Ad Server. Advertisers will also be ensured of maximum performance for every cent that they pay.
7 things you will see in Netklix
Netklix is actually a pretty straight forward program for both publisher and advertiser. Some of the other things that they do may be minor, but it sure does help a lot in every aspect:
- Customizable color-schemes to help advertisements blend on each page
It should give a better click-through rate, and also better look-and-feel interface for the website. - Wide spectrum of ad formats
You will get to choose different ad formats for your website. - Easy to sign up
Netklix claimed that it takes less than 5 minutes to sign up. It sure does in 4 easy steps for you to get yourself started. - Support
A dedicated account management team on call so that there will have no unanswered emails. - Flexibility
At any time of the day 24/7, you will still be able to manage of your account. - Monthly publisher earnings payout
Publishers are paid on a monthly basis with a minimum threshold of $150. - Analytical Report
An almost real-time report to show you ad impressions, clicks, CTR, Averages for EPC, and a break-down of your earnings.
Is there any anti-fraud mechanism in place to prevent duplicated clicks?
Inevitably, we will start to think if the advertiser has to pay more if there are duplicated clicks by the same person on the same advertisement. This can be accidental, or even deliberate.
Accidental clicks may be due to the visitor wanting to see that same advertiser’s website but he or she has forgotten the link. Hence, he or she has to go back to the original source which links to the advertiser’s website. And if he or she is able to find that same advertiser’s link on the publisher’s website, it will be clicked again!
Deliberate clicks can also happen because the publisher may be a little greedy thoughts of wanting to make more money. Hence, there will be more clicks on the various advertisements in his own site. This can be very serious case because the clicks are untargeted, and the advertisers will be very unhappy if they found out about it.
Hence, Netklix has derived a multi-stage technology which is able to detect and isolate invalid clicks so you can be ensured that you are only paying for valid clicks.
This is very crucial because it boasts the confidence of the entire network to work hamoniously between the advertisers and publishers. Advertisers are more confident in their CPC bids. This will also mean a high yield and sustainable revenue source for publishers.
What makes an advertiser want to choose Netklix?
Netklix works very similarly to Google Adwords. In Netklix, ads are being paid for every click on the publishers’ website. So does the Google in their publishers’ websites. So what makes you want to choose Netklix over Google Adwords? The differentiator lies in the unique channel list that the publishers are categorized in. Every publisher who applies to the Netklix network is reviewed individually, prior to approval from Netklix’s Account Management Team.
No matter how automated Google can do to track the publisher’s webpage by putting in keyword-targeted advertisements, there is a certain error which cannot be helped. For example, a publisher’s website niche is supposed to be talking about “home cooking”, but it happened coincidentally that one of the pages is talking about ebooks which contains their food recipe. Google may detect the keyword “ebook” and may display “make money online” ebooks for you if there’s such a publisher out there!
Reference to the above paragraph, if it’s in Netklix’s case, it can turn out to be relevant because the publisher is able to choose the right content channel for his or her site. It doesn’t matter how much irrelevance the keywords may be, the niche topic of the website should still remain. Hence, potential advertisers like yourself will be assured because
- the websites are categorized accordingly in over 400 content channels.
- the websites are reviewed by hand for their quality before they are approved in that content channel.
And what makes a publisher want to choose Netklix?
As a publisher, if you are opting to put up advertisements, you will want to know whether your website is showing relevant advertisements because:
- It gives better performance to the click-through rate on your site
- It gives better confidence to your advertisers that their advertisements are effective
- It also gives the web visitors a reason why they should come back again and again because you are showing the topic that interests them
Conclusion
While there are quite a lot of variations of networks out there to connect the websites together, Netklix could be one of your choice in terms of immediate gratification. Advertiser will only pay for every visitor coming into his or her website. Publisher will only make money for every valid click out to his or her advertiser’s website. Having your website exposed to thousands of websites in the same industry, it will actually position yourself for brand awareness as well as to receive quality clicks into your website. Other variations of the networks may not be as effective because they are usually shown in just one website.

Charles and Carl,
Great post, very complete article about using Netklix. Possibly an alternative to Google for internet marketing purposes.
There are many online advertising options and since Google has gotten harder to deal with and tough to keep costs reasonable this could be a viable choice.
I will definately take a closer look at them.
Very nice – inform and sell!
Thanks,
John

Nice post. Netkilx might be one of the good investments on a niche site I have associated with.
