Sorry guys but I'm with Frank here.

I have an accommodation website and its a fierce market to crack... one of the bigegst - but One that I cracked for my target audience. It took 2 years of working on my site 5-10hrs a week before I made a cent from it but now I have left my job and work for myself. My accommodation site makes around $70,000 a year and all I have to do is update it and add some new articles which I get my copywriter to write every now and then. $70,000 isn't enough to become a millionaire just yet, but it has allowed me to quit me job and put 40hrs a week into new projects instead of 5hrs.

I guess lucky for me I am a website designer and SEO so it cuts the costs out a little. But it takes dedication and if you stick at it long enough it pays off!

I get 40,000 unique visitors a month and through affiliate programs selling accommodation and tours/attractions + Google adsence I do alright. I do know however not to take my websites positioning for granted because Google could drop me any day (which they shouldn't because all my SEO is above board and there is no spamming) but should it ever happen I would really be in trouble.

I have just started a blog and will see how that goes. I'm currently looking around and trying to think of new online money making ideas.

Good luck to all and if you have an idea.... work at it & stick to it!

I agree with you and others, it's not soooo easy to do, but it's life. If you stick to ONLY one online business model (and I don't care if it's affiliate marketing or plr or product creation or anything else) and stick to it, there's no way you can fail.

The problem is that people are stuck in information overload and jump from an opportunity to another.

There's a lot of other problems, but your get the point.

Thanks for your comments.

I still say that it's easy and let me give you an example. I think that you missed a crucial point. If you are a REAL expert, people will recognize it.

The problem is that many people enter a niche and try to be another "me too". It's my fault because I didn't talk about your USP.

Your Unique Selling Proposition.

The net is full with crap! It's a fact. Come with a subject that you master and you will make money.

Ok, you may say what if I'm not an expert?

Just hire one on Guru.com and let him write for you, make video for you...

I agree what your saying is all true, well you know your stuff. Its true what Caroline is saying as well. I am a newbie myself to this aspect of the web world. Although the steps seem easy, which actually i guess it is. It takes time and some figuring out to do on your own. www.whosmakingmoney.com

"Please, understand that the more competition, the more money you will make. The bigger the market and the bigger your chances of earning more money."

You should have added "The more fierce the competition, and the longer the time to make money" to the above statement. I admit the article is kinda misleading.

I gotta say I disagree with post of this post Franck. You make it sound so easy and I think that can lead newbies astray. Sure the mechanics of it may be easy - set up a blog, write a report etc but actually getting subscribers to that blog, getting ranked highly amongst that competition, making sales of your report (and not getting refunds!) is not that easy otherwise everybody would be doing it. If somebody truly has a passion and a burning desire to attack a popular market then sure go for it, but I think its wrong to just state that its all so easy.
