What Would You Do To Brand Yourself?
A month ago, a guy named Dan Schawbel emailed me and asked for a 500 word article for this personal branding magazine – I get invitations like that from time to time, nothing unusual.
Suddenly, my dad got into the scene “That’s great, I’ve heard about Dan before.”
(My dad’s PC is beside my laptop so from time to time, he peeks when I’m reading mails – he always points out the big names *LOL*)
But reading further down his email, I felt something struck my gut when I read that I’m gonna be writing on a magazine where Gary Vaynerchuk, Donald Trump and Jack Welch has written on.
So I setted my priorities straight and whipped out an article… and there I am.
Check out the Personal Branding Mag, it’ll be available on February 1st.
As for this issue, they’ve interviewed Marcus Buckingham, Marshall Goldsmiths, Tim Sanders, John Assaraf…
And articles from Jack Humphrey, Maria Elena Duron, Jim Kukral, Tiffany Monhollon, Liz Pabon, Justin Levy and more.

Hi Carlo,
i heard about your blog from Jack Humphrey about eight months ago. I was a bit reluctant to follow on what you blog about.
two weeks or so I opted for the ….master plan. logically i joined your mailing list. i’ve been receiving mails from you since.
Latest was the interview you had. i downloaded the mp3 and listed to the 20-30 min session and i became your fan.
I’ve read some inspiring posts from and I like the one of “sorry Digg”
To be writing the some great magazine is a huge step. Don’t get surprised of the big names because you already are a big name.
I’ve seen there is lot to learn from you. and I just added your site on the homepage of my browser. It’s the first thing i wanna see when i log-in online.
Keep up the good work and continue being you.

hi,
I’ve been reading– ok, trying to read– your blogs and it still never fails to amaze me how you got yourself such a “brand”. Other bloggers would give up anything to be in the status you’re in– count me in.
I’m still a newbie in this passion of blogging so I am on a look out for exceptional characters in the blogsphere. Surely there are others who have been doing great with their blogging but I consider your type of blogging so interesting.
In the next few days I expect to read more of your articles which I haven’t done recently. Work is keeping me from visiting my blog.
Keep up the good work. More blogs ahead!

I think every blogger builds their brand automatically by constantly writing articles and participating online in forums, social sites and blogs.Everyone has their own writing style and every blog and person is unique.

Hello Carl,
I love this blog. So much info. I am 64 live in London and a tiny hamlet in France and am struggling with all the technology even though I started using computers before you were born. Keep up the good work and I will come back to see your progression.
All the best

My name “Rob Abdul” for the last 3 years has been my brand name.
I was so proud when my name appeared in Google’s suggestive list.
It may not sound like much but at least 60 to 80 people goggle me a month.
It is nice for the Ego, I must admit!
