Michael Dunlop has bought a second review from us again. This time round, I am going to review his site once again without looking back at my first review of Retire at 21 (a link just for your reference). Michael Dunlop is an online entrepreneur since 2003. He is from England, Sussex. And he has a strong belief that 21 years old is the new retirement age – Entrepreneurs are getting younger and younger. Hence, he started his first website when he was sixteen, and that has changed his life completely. You can find out more about Michael Dunlop here.
My Perspective about the Focus of Retire At 21
As I was reading through this whole blog, Retire At 21 is a website dedicated at providing information about making money online, and showcasing inspirations of successful young entrepreneurs who have made it in their lives online. Michael Dunlop provides as many interactive channels as possible in the form of blog, forum, and organized information. In my opinion, he must be building a one-stop information portal for all the people who is interested to learn how to make money online.
Three Sections, But Many Columns of Menus
As we can see from his website, he separates his website into three sections:
Somehow, I find his three sections are not so prominently shown as there are numerous menus which are categorized by them. They are
- RETIRE AT 21
- ABOUT RETIRE AT 21
Probably because the first section is a little overcrowded with too many columns of menus, while the other two sections have only one column of menus each. Nevertheless, it is a good attempt to show the visitors how beneficial it is to them.
This website is positioning itself as though it is a corporate website, except that it has more personalized contents. It’s actually that “Press Releases” link that caused me to think of this website to look more corporate. I don’t think most of the websites have this link, but I think this is a good idea to inform the public of any changes.
Interviews With Entrepreneurs
There are quite a lot of interesting Interviews with Successful Young Entrepreneurs going on over at Retire At 21. Over here, you get to see Michael having the chance to interview many successful online entrepreneurs. The most obvious interview which caught my attention is with Yaro Starak. It’s a great interview in a very comprehensive article of over 4000 words.
Top 21 Young Entrepreneurs’ Websites
There is one page in his website, dedicated to the very successful young entrepreneurs online. These are the people who started Facebook, Digg, WordPress, Engadget and more at Top Young Run Websites. They are so successful in life that they are the ones who cannot be missed if you are looking for young entrepreneurs who are successful building their business online.
Top Young Entrepreneurs
As we were talking about successful business, Michael understands that successful websites do not mean they are already making a lot of money. Hence, he single-handedly listed the actual names and their pictures, showing their networth at Top 50 Young Entrepreneurs Under 30 Years Old. When we look at the kind of money they are worth (in millions and more), it is clear that they have proved to be young and rich at the same time. Most importantly, they have the potential to retire young.
Top Young CEOs
This page shows a list of CEOs who are young, and yet enterprising in their own way. Michael called them “No Grey Hair CEOs“. In the list, I noticed Matt Mullenweg who founded WordPress, and he is making
a yearly revenue of $50 million while his software is free for download. Although I may not know how he is making his money, I believe he may have the publicity to make something more than just a free software. In the list also, you can see interesting information about the people who founded MySpace, Digg and Facebook are surprisingly young!
How to Make Money Online?
He has dedicated two separate webpages on teaching people how and where to make money online, and how to create their own website. In a website such as Retire At 21, it is probably look more complete when you get to see articles on teaching us where to make money. Over there, you get to see a lot of details about making money online. They are summarized into two simple pages, yet they are good enough to make a person successful when they have a good business idea.
This website is simply dedicated to help people to start their own internet business. Over here, a person might get inspired by the many different examples of successful entrepreneurs. They can also ask for help in forum, catching up with the blog, or even to ask Michael if you cannot find an answer to your question.
