Did you say addict?
Yes, that was me before… and probably until now.
Back in college I got hooked with computers, I was a computer addict. That addiction hit me bad- wasted time and money, I jeopardized my studies and this landed me to stay in college for 8 years.
Then 2014, I got back up and first straightened my values and beliefs. I’m a Christian and that year, I made sure to keep a healthy relationship with God. This decision of mine helped me finish college and strive to become better.
Through the help and support of great friends and an amazing family, especially my wife, I got to finish and become someone I love. It’s been two years for me as a web developer, earning and providing for my very own family.
The first year was difficult as it was the learning stage for the career that I chose. I literally got headaches from analyzing the codes but this eventually grew on me. It was my brother and my sister-in-law who really got me going with all the messy codes in my head. They were patient enough to teach me the ins and outs of being a web developer. Now I just really am excited to work and to improve. This is really something I enjoy doing and I know that this is what I want to be working on long-term.
I look forward to achieving more each day and to never settle for less than the best that I can give.
Is this still an addiction? Well, one thing I’m certain about is that this is the good kind.
