Have you ever had frustration trying to submit your url to so many social bookmarking sites? There are many social bookmarking sites for us to enjoy various web contents. They have been bookmarked because there are interesting contents to look out for in these social bookmarking sites. And I can tell you I really love surfing them whenever I am free. These social bookmarking sites provide an easy way for web owners to present to the readers. But there is one problem with all these social bookmarking sites…
They are independent from one another and hence they have their own traffic to take care of to continue to get these readers interested. As website owners, especially for bloggers, we tend to have ongoing articles which may interest the readers. But to submit one after another can be a real boring task to do every time you have a new article to bookmark.
In this review, I am very privileged to discuss about a Social Bookmarking tool which allows you to submit up to 13 social sites automatically. The 13 social sites are as follows:
Here’s a video introduction of Socialmatic Website.
This tool is known as Socialmatic. Not only does it allow you to submit to the above 13 social websites mentioned, it even provides you with numerous features just by joining the Socialmatic network. You get to submit up to 13 social sites automatically. And they are submitted at random timing to individual social sites. Random timing is quite an important step to take because it allows you to bookmark the url more naturally. Having too many social bookmarking sites linking to you instantly is not healthy in terms of technology sense because it will start jamming your website with traffic within that instant moment which can cause your hosting account (especially shared hosting accounts) to be unstable for a while. And when that happens, you wouldn’t get to enjoy full benefits of social bookmarking in the end. Having random timing of submission will allow you to attract the traffic at different timing, and thus distribute the traffic more evenly for the web server to handle more efficiently. It is no wonder it claims to have 99.95% success rate of delivery!
Socialmatic also allows you to network with other Socialmatic users in the Socialmatic Network. Over here, I get to add friends. Probably because it is still in Beta testing, I seem to have some difficulty adding new users right now.
And the owner revealed to me something about Auto Social Bookmarking Plugin which is worthed US$127. Currently, it is still under development. I may not know what this plugin is all about right now, but I have a feeling it is to do with publishing your blog/articles while it will do automatic bookmarking. Bookmarking automatically is going to be a very powerful tool to make things even more easier for all of us since it saves a lot of time while we focus on the most important job which is the actual articles!
According to the website owner, Socialmatic was launched in beta release on 15th January 2008. It has already submitted more than 3000 URLs to date. And it has well over 650 members and it is still growing.
Basically, Socialmatic is used for helping marketers get more traffic for their websites. And I believe that’s the core role of Socialmatic for all of us to enjoy its benefits. It is a great leverage for the bloggers like ourselves especially.
Now, let’s hear Charles’ Video Review about Socialmatic website.
Feeling Uneasy to Submit Your Usernames and Passwords?
When I log in, this is the first page which needs my attention to input my username and password. As for some of you who might not feel comfortable giving your username and password, you might not be able to use Socialmatic to its fullest potential since it uses your username and password to submit your url automatically. Another way of submitting your urls could be creating new accounts for the purpose of automatic submission.
Submitting Your URL
Submit Bookmark is a very simple thing to do with Socialmatic. Simply input your URL, Title, Description, Tag, and Category. You are done. And the bookmarks status will be shown to let us know when the URLs will be submitted.
And from the bookmarks status, I was curious to find out if I have a link from the front page. So I click on the main page and see my link directly on the front page of the website as shown below.
Some Comments from Charles
Socialmatic is a pretty interesting program to find out about. Probably it has just been released on 15th January 2008 as a beta release, there are still lots of rooms to improve and correct. I should expect to see more features with more refinements in the near future. As of now, the main feature of social bookmarking is already up and running. so we can just focus on using that while other features such as friends module will start to refine better for usage.
Because it is released as a beta testing, I can understand that we are using it with some expectations that is still buggy in one way or another. Nevertheless, this program is a good attempt to start with, and I hope the owner will continue to make it into maturity. This is a very useful tool for us as bloggers especially when we are always looking for ways to share our blog contents. And it is pretty tedious and time-consuming to do it manually. With such a tool to work on, we can further focus on the contents or even to look out for even more traffic elsewhere.
Let’s summarize what Socialmatic has to offer:
- Submit up to 13 social sites automatically
- Random timing submission to individual social sites
- Log file to view status of submission
- Get your word out and get more traffic for your site!
- 99.95% success rate of delivery
- Network with others on the Socialmatic Network
- Auto Social Bookmarking Plugin worth US$127 (In Development)
- Best of all it’s FREE
