One Stop Information Website For Making Money Online

If you're new here, you really should subscribe to my blog's Full RSS feed for FREE! You don't want to miss informative posts! Thanks!

This post is sponsored by Success With Auctions and posted by Charles Lau.

Have you ever wonder if there is any website which can guide you as a beginner in starting your online business? Well, as I was doing my browsing review of this make money online website, I realize that this website has got tons of articles teaching us about making money online. And it has organized in such a meaningful categorization that I must salute to them for doing that. It is very much for people who wish to make money from home.

Right at the very top, we have five tabs to choose from. And the first four tabs are the most prominent topics I am going to cover for the website. The five tabs are as follows:

  • Make Money Online
  • Make Money With eBay
  • Make Money Blog
  • Start a Home Business
  • Members

“Make Money Online” Tab

The sub-categories of “Make Money Online” show an overview of online opportunities that we can tap on. We have auctions (which is talking about eBay), blogging, affiliate programs, ebooks, paid surveys, websites and online newsletter. This tab contains very powerful resources for anybody wishes to understand more about the mechanism of making money online. There are still many people out there who don’t really understand how to make money online. They would think of it as an intangible business which they can’t see and touch, and hence they concluded that it might not be suitable for them. These people might even had burnt their fingers buying some expensive ebooks and paying to participate in some surveys and further concluded that it is dangerous to do business online. Some might even think that making money online is a fraud because of it.

“Make Money With eBay” Tab

This website wishes to further elaborate on the eBay business by dedicating one whole sub-categories on it by talking about the mechanism, tips and tricks on how to get your eBay business to work. It even goes into the detail of choosing your eBay user id. While I may not know myself what’s wrong with choosing a name of our liking, but it seems to give you some idea of a good user id. It even has a tutorial, starting up your eBay business, eBay information and some more others. It looks like eBay has so many things to find out about to start a successful eBay business.

“Make Money Blog” Tab

Looks like this is the blog for the website. It shows a date on top with several posts below. All are of quality articles about online business. I am specially attracted by the link-baiting title “Don’t sell ads on your website” where the website argues about luring the prospect out of their website and go into another website through advertisements. And it compares the potential earnings a person can make, versus the amount of money made for diverting the traffic to other websites. Well, it sounds pretty true to me, especially when the profit margin we are talking about is $1000.

Website Structure

This website seems to adopt the familiar blogging structure. But of course it is not done in the same manner. The five tabs above with its links to the direct “posts” shows that we are going to see the articles that we are interested in. And we can see the usual google ads on the right side, some sponsored links around, and probably a few external pages. It looks so familiar to me as a blog more than a website with articles. However, it is actually an informative website more than a blog.

Software that You Need For Business

It has a website dedicated to software recommendations that the website believe is necessary for your business. From legal software, to anti-virus software, and to inventory management. It has a pretty much complete suite of software that we need to make money online. And I also think that anti-virus software is a very good investment for an online entrepreneur to be on the Internet so long.

And Much Much More!

This website is basically full of untouched gold in its raw form, and if you have the patience to dig every information that you need for your own business, you will basically get to see what the articles can do for you. The information is all over the website, and you must really read through the website precisely to get the juice. It actually took me more than a day to read more about this website contents. For example, I have found this article about “Social bookmarking For Sale” somewhere deep inside the link structure of the website.

Now, let me do some concluding. This website is basically a site full of articles for us to read. And according to the webmaster, they actually update this website consistently. So you will get to see more new contents along. And I think it is not easy to maintain such a website because of its commitment to contribute quality articles on a regular basis. And I believe that it is a good site for newcomers to read as they start their first online business.

5 Tips To Grab Hold Of Your Focus When Writing

By Carl On January 28, 2008 16 Comments

I’ve heard bloggers writing a single blog post for two to four hours. Boasting aside, I only write mine an hour or two each.

No, I’m not a natural writer. In fact, I’m still having those “Dramatic pause” every minute or so looking for the right word to express my point (That’s because English is not my first language.)

What’s my secret?

Focus.

Do nothing but write the article.

But how do you grab hold of that focus till you finish the article?

Here are my five tips:

1. Turn Off That Music

Do not lower the volume, turn it off!

I’ve had bad experiences with music when writing. In my own experience this is the number one thing that always keeps me out of focus when writing.

The last minute you were writing, the next minute you find yourself singing and swaying with the music.

Now who’s with me?

2. Close Your Email

This one is a killer. Tons of people are in to this. Tons of people write with their email accounts open. And yes, tons of people are distracted with their email accounts open.

It just snowballs you when an email arrive in the middle of you working on an article. After you’ve replied to it, you see another one waiting, you reply to it again, and so on and so on.

Email is the one of the internet’s biggest time whore, try to schedule things up and make a habit of checking your email.

3. MSN, YM, Skype and AIM Is A No No!

If your IM client has over 100 contacts piled up, you can imagine how hard it is to focus on writing with your IM client open. Heck, you can’t even do any simple work.

It’s just too irritating. Especially when someone adds you and asks personal stuff and that. Well, you can’t just close the client or block the guy because he might classify you as “Rude” and tell the world about it. Argh.

4. Close The Windows, Lock The Door

If you have kids mingling around your house, I might have hit the bulls eye on this one.

As for me, I have a brother and a sister – and they won’t stop bugging me everytime. I can’t blame them about that though, I’m sure I did that to my dad before too.

5. Cut Your Internet Connection

With just one click, you could easily get lost on what you’re doing. Especially when you have the StumbleUpon toolbar installed or any other toolbar that with one single click, it will take you to another website.

The solution, cut the connection.

There are days were our connection is a bit laggy, we can’t browse or do virtually anything online. I’ve observed that I write faster on these days, because often times in the middle of writing an article, I recall a website I haven’t read in months.

What’s Loosing Your Focus?

Like in any other article, I want you to get involved.

How about you? What’s the single biggest thing that keeps loosing your focus when writing? Or any work you always do.
