Many bloggers set up an opt-in form to get people to sign up to their newsletter and all they did was to send newsletter by newsletter. You should maximise the potential of your list as there are many other things that you can do with your email list.
1. Offer Freebies
Give your readers something in return for being so loyal to your blog and reading the newsletter you send to them every single time. Freebies can be in the form of your self-written E-Book or anything of value in which you can give it to your newsletter subscribers.
2. Run A Contest
You can run a contest to get your subscribers more involved in your blog. For example, you can ask to submit a review on a particular news or even product and services that they have used. The purpose of this is to create more interaction between yourself and your subscribers.
3. Selling Your Products
Offer a discounted price to your subscribers for products that you created yourself. This will establish a closer relationship with your subscribers and the fact that they join your newsletters implied that they are interested in the topic you talk about. This will also be the group of potential buyers to your product since they have already know what kind of quality you delivered through your daily blog entries.
4. Request For Testimonials
You need social proof from people whenever you want to sell your products. Therefore, the email list that you have are the best source of testimonials you can get from. Most would be willing to help you since they know that your product would definitely be of good quality.
5. Request For Affiliates
You will need affiliates to help you to promote and sell your products. Your email list is again your best source. At this point of time, you can already see the potential of creating your own products when you have a handful of email list.
6. Getting Content Ideas
There might be times where you are lacking content to blog about and you can turn to your group of subscribers. Ask them what they would wish to know more and what do they what to improve. This is very helpful because it not only give you ideas on what to write but also answering the doubts of your subscribers.
7. Outsourcing For Help
You might be good in blogging but know nuts about website building and you can also seek help from your subscribers. You can offer him a price for him to get the things done for you. This will be another way to build relationship with your subscribers.
There are so many things that you can do with your email list and are very essential as your website or blog grows larger. Do build your own opt in form today and apply some of the ways that I have mention. Best of luck to your success in handling your email list.

The Shirt Versus The Suit
On August 26 my database crashed leaving my blog with a big “Not Found” on the post area. I was with my friend’s house on that same day though having a sleepover so I wasn’t able to fix it till I got home the next day. The problem was solved in just a couple of minutes with the help of my web host, Media Temple.
In other words, this post is 5 days late and I’m 5 days late to start kickin’ off my blog for the…

Basically, me and Alvin Phang will compete for the next 25 days on who can gain more RSS subscribers. Time frame is August 25 – September 25.
Here are our RSS subscribers on the day the contest…
CarlOcab – 2928 Subscribers
GatherSuccess – 812 Subscribers
And at the moment, I’m at 3865 Subscribers and Alvin is on 1062. Looks like I’m leading the competition even if I was idle :-P But there’s a long way to go, we still got 25 days to pump up things.
What will the winner get?
Both of us are doing this just for fun so we decided that the one that gained the less amount of subscribers will make a video admitting his defeat. Ahhhh, that’s priceless ;-)
Anyhow, on a different perspective, both of us will win because we gained more subscribers than we normally do due to this RSS challenge.
My plans…
So what are my plans to leave Alvin and win this contest decisively? It’s drop-dead simple. I won’t say it, you’ll see it – actions speak louder than words. Subscribe now so you won’t miss out.

7 Reasons You Are Going To Fail At Blogging
This article is guest posted by Christoph Merrill.
You want them you got them
Everyone whats to get into blogging, yet most never make it past the 3 month mark, Why? the following 7 items and the reasons why most will FAIL, check out BlogSavvy for the 7 ways to avoid Blogging Failure.
1. Your spell checker sucks
If you don’t use one, then you suck, and why aren’t you using one? Most of use try to do our best, and frankly that is all that is required, do your best, and once your done run it through a spell checker to make sure your best is even better. Even if English isn’t your 1st language, spell checker will help, and as readers get to know you, they will understand, or even help you become better
2. Your Irregular
I’m not talking bodily functions, I’m talking about the fact that you can’t keep to a regular schedule, sure it sounds great to post every day, but when it comes right down to it, you aren’t going to be able to do that, so you will have a post here, and then another couple of post there, but you can’t it up for very long. You are all talk and when it comes down to your readers, well you won’t have many of those. Keep your posting schedule regular!
3. Your Blog is generic?
You simply feel that you are better than everyone else, that your content is better your contests are better, yet you have a simply Wordpress themed site. You have done nothing to brand yourself or your site; therefore you do not stand out from the crowd. You are just another no name blogger, and you wonder why you haven’t made any money. No one knows who you are; therefore there is no value for you to get any money from advertisers.
4. You write for search engines
You are trying to hit as many “key” word as you can with in each paragraph, and while you may generate some traffic, your posts will most certainly be abstract and your blog won’t have any real focus, or authority for the specific subject mater, Stop writing for the search engines, write for your readers
5. You give No Link Love
You are simply selfish, and don’t play well with others. You can’t find anything to write about so you search the net, looking for your next target, kind of like a stalker, “here good article, here good article” you call, and when you find it, you simply COPY it and claim it as you own. While it’s ok to gain inspiration for a post from someone else’s post, if you don’t acknowledge that fact and create your own thought from their post, or create your own opinion you are simply stealing content, and no one like a thief.
6. You don’t “do” marketing
There are those who have a marketing budget, and those who do not, either way there are multiple ways to market the blog with or without money. The problem is you are too lazy to “do” anything; you have the “if I build it they will come” mentality. You can have the greatest content in the world, but if no one knows about it, your site will take forever to give you a Return on Investment (ROI)
7. You’re not Committed
Obviously… well, if you can’t omit it it’s probably true. The easy part is talking about it, sure many people see Carl and want to be like him, they want his money, his fame his whatever, but when it comes right down to actually doing what Carl does to make that kind of money and be famous, you aren’t committed enough to do it. You try, or yet you think you try, but when it get even a little bit difficult, or you experience any discomfort, you quit and say “ it’s not going to happen”. Everyone has difficulty, everyone had challenges, but if your are committed to becoming a full time blogger, then you will do it no matter how hard it gets. Commit yourself!

This Could Be The Highest Paid Skill In The World
This post is part of the “Joint Venture” series:
Part 1: What Makes A Business?
Part 2: This Could Be The Highest Paid Skill In The World
Part 3: Which Of These Joint Venture Strategies Have You Tried?
More to come!
Yep, I did get a good grade on my oratorical speech ;-) Now let’s go deeper to the topic…
So yeah, friendship makes a business. What does that mean? What could friendship do with your business?
First, let’s put business aside at the moment – what do friends do? Share secrets, help each other, give you encouragements and maybe… just have fun!
On the business side of it, you can share tactics, exchange tricks, mentor each other, but the greatest of em’ all – leveraging each others resources. Whaaa? How?
Remember Col. Sanders? Yep, the KFC guy. When an interstate highway was built to bypass Corbin, where his old restaurant “Sander’s Court & Cafe” lies, Sander’s sold the station and on the same day, he received his first social security check of $105. Using that money, he paid all his debts leaving nothing behind for him – in other words broke.
What Col. Sanders now have is his secret recipe. But guess what? Col. Sanders used the highest paid skill in the world – he got on the road and looked for a “friend” who can help him sell his chicken recipe. After receiving 2000 no’s a guy took his offer an yep – Kentucky Friend Chicken was born.
This is what they call, JV or join venture partnerships. Aside from what Col. Sanders did, there are tons of ways of doin’ JV’s. What are they? Watch out for my next post ;-)

Make Money Online with MLM And The Berry Tree
This post is sponsored by Shane Woods and posted by Charles Lau.
MLM has been quite popularly done online. Because referral can be done easily with a click of the mouse and the massive market in the Internet to leverage on, it can be so powerful that you don’t have to do all the legwork by yourself to do network marketing.
In this new review, I am being introduced to Shane Woods‘ blog who is so enthusiastic about sharing everybody about MLM. He speaks about MLM Leads, where you can learn how to capture leads in many different ways. Blogging For Profit is also another topic he focuses on while building his MLM leads. That’s where I start to sense multiple sources of income from Shane. It is really smart of Shane to leverage on blogging to build up his frontend business (which is MLM), and establish his backend business (which is blogging).
Video Review
Prominent Profile Placement in Blog
He places his profile prominently on the right with the highest visibility. That’s where he puts in his link to invite interested visitors who may click to find out more about joining his Make-Money-At-Home team. And to find out more about his profile, he has placed the common “Read More »” at the bottom which I tend to look for it unconsciously.
Subscribing to RSS
It can be daunting to find out that I cannot subscribe on the RSS feed to subscribe anonymously. On one hand, his visitors might be mostly potential MLM business partners who probably seldom use RSS feed readers and hence the email will be more useful. On the other hand, I can still find RSS links in his other pages of the blog.
Nice About-Me Page In His Personal Blog
I found his about-me page quite personal when he shows himself semi-retiring with a few vacations, having his new car, and having a nice six-figure annual income. And not to forget about his new baby girl arriving into his world. He has managed to get out of his job to work at home with a nice six-figure annual income where he only needs a 22-second walk to his office!
MLM and The Berry Tree
This blog is built with an introduction of the visitors to Shane Woods’ team of The Berry Tree. There is not much information about The Berry Tree, but there is a YouTube video to watch about its benefits. It makes use of the website’s most significant purpose which is to capture leads by their emails. This will allow them to do a follow-up with the interested visitors. Visitors have given them the permission to contact them and to build up relationship.
How to Contact Shane Woods
While I see most blogs having a form to fill in directly to contact the blogger, Shane Woods preferred to show his email address and his phone number to contact him directly. It shows how personal he can be to his visitors.
As an Internet reviewer, I would still suggest him to put up a simple contact form for easy and smooth transaction of contacting him for any question in the visitor’s mind.
Conclusion
This blog is simple to read, easy to understand from the visitors’ point of view. It probably needs just a little more time to catch up with its contents for both the visitors and the search engines to pick up its pace. It has a pretty good blog presentation as I have no problem trying to understand the blog. It also has relevant blog contents to keep the readers interested. But more page contents as well as blog contents will definitely make the blog look more complete.

About Carael Knight – The Story Behind The Internet CEO
This article is guest posted by Carael Knight.
Let me tell you a story about me…………………………Carael Knight
(TRUE STORY……..)
“Slaving For Peanuts-vs-Graving For Walnuts”
When I first started building my company, MajorEnterprise,
I had started at the bottom. For years, I had worked SO hard “busing-my-hump” for a worthless salary. I mean no benefits at all. What kind of stability is this? And now, that I look back, the only thing that comes to mind is, man, I worked for some complete “dummy’s” (a.k.a “Bosses.”).
The majority of “J-O-B-S” that I have ever worked, I been fired from. I have never been really good at working for somebody else. I guess one of the main reasons would be that they knew I was humble. Or maybe they feared me being so intelligent that I would possibly take over the company or something.
They would say stuff to me like “your not being productive enough” or “we need to talk about your work ethics”. It had been times where I wanted to literally laugh in there face! Why? Well, one reason
would be…………………………………….
1. I have been commented on my “work performance” so much that it would feel strange NOT to be questioned about my work ethic.
2. What benefit will it be to me if I worked “twice as hard” and doubling my workload for still the same pay rate???
3. If I was to get a raise on a “J-O-B”, it wouldn’t be much because most “J-O-B-S” only give a person cents on the dollar.
4. In life, if I work hard at something, I would rather “bust-my-hump” doing something I love to do rather than wasting my time doing something to make another man richer!
A lot of people won’t tell you these things because there “scared” that they may get laid off or have someone think differently about them. But as for me, I’m my own individual. I’m taking the gloves off! I’m taking a stand to let any individual that feels like there isn’t hope, know that if I can be successful, so can you! Hear my clear, “The only way to truly be happy in life and be successful is to do what interest you”! Find your niche. Get out and explore new things and opportunites. Find something that you love to do and pursue it.
“NEVER, EVER, EVER, GIVE UP”. This is one of the formulas of success! I’ve always looked at things in clear view in terms of business and personal finance.
About MajorEnterprise
The road was never easy for me but if there are people out there that have overcame hardships ten times as worst as mine, then this should be a piece of cake for me! That’s how I’ve always looked at it. This is the game of life. Just because a person starts ahead in the race doesn’t mean that he will always finish first. Statistics show that just about every person who is “self made” had to start from the “bottom of the barrel” and “work there way up the ladder”. You can too. Being successful and become a shining star in life is not going to be easy “BUT” it isn’t impossible either.
I am what you would call a very aggressive internet marketing expert. I have paid my dues as well as built a six figure “monthly” income simply through marketing and advertising products/ads via the internet. I’m a “self-made” type of guy. I truly believe in his heart that independent money is the best money anyone can make. With using the internet, its not difficult at all for anyone to generate a phenominal passive income. The internet is the way of the future! I started my company which is MajorEnterprise in 99″ and I have really been working hard ever since continuing to build it up even more. A lot of people ask me all the time how did I do it and in response I say,
“I just stayed focused on the end result. When you have everyone doubting you and your abilities, this is the fuel that motivates the engine to run harder and faster. Every successful person goes through what I call, their trial period. This is where you have to go through different trials and tribulations to not only show the world what your made of but to show yourself that you ARE made of something. You ARE somebody and a serious force to be reckoned with. A lot of people believed that all my ideas and goals wasn’t going to work, they thought that I was just dreaming when I told them that one day I will own my own multi-million dollar company. Making my own moves and calling the shots. I love to tell my story because this is my way of saying to everyone who once talked down about me, look at me now and what I have accomplished. You know, in my early days before my company took off, I was that person working minimum wage jobs such as fast food, I washed dishes, cleaned toilets and put up with a whole of crap coming from so called bosses that I really thought were monkeys thinking that they were better than me and how they treated me. But I guess you can say that this is how it is when your working for someone else. You might as well say that I really felt like the toilets I cleaned. Ha! I feel like this is the main reason why more and more people are turning into entreprenuers. I mean let’s be honest. Getting up in the morning going to a job, sucks big time! You will never make independent income that way. How does that feel knowing that someone else controls your income? You know, a lot of people ask me, well how can I become rich? The best answer I tend to give them is they first have to figure out what their good at. What is their expertise? Also you should find a good mentor. You know, someone who can inspire you to keep pushing even harder for your dreams and aspirations. My mom and dad were a portion of good mentors to me. Before my mom, Latonya Knight passed away, she always taught me to be humble. She was a very strong women. My mother was a go-getter. My mother was the type of woman who made things happen, period. I feel this is why I am the way I am today because of her and my dad. My dad who is currently still living can vounch for how my mom was. She was very thorough with everything she did. But all in all, I love both of them and couldn’t ask for a better mother or father. They are both a reflection of who I am today…….”
This has been my true story that I felt I should share with the world. Thank you Carlo cab for giving me the opportunity to motivate as well as inspire someone else with reading my story.
