24 Hours Left

By Carl On May 12, 2009 2 Comments

I just got an email from Anik that they are *taking down* the interview (free right now) with Andy Jenkins in 24 hours.

If you know Andy Jenkins, you’ll be clicking that link right away because this man is pure *genius*.

If you don’t know Andy, here are some quick facts for you…

  • Holds the “hard hitting” record of $18.3 MILLION in orders under 24 hours
  • CEO of Stompernet
  • Cool dude
  • Extraordinaire expert in search engine optimization (hint: they do it scientifically)
  • Recently gave away free stuff and thru “upgrades” made $1.8 MILLION

Sweet eh? Definitely worth checking out.

Watch the interview here

P.S. Last week, Launch Tree has around 10,000 or so subscribers. Guess what – it’s 42415 now.

(I’m shocked really) you should watch it

P.P.S. According to the “email copywriting code” I should put some scarcity stuff here. That would be good, but redundant.

Why McDonalds Is Smarter Than You Think

By Carl On May 1, 2009 18 Comments

If you’ve been a long time subscriber to my blog or if you’ve been to seminars where I’ve spoken, you might have noticed that I always emphasize that I treat my blog as a business – not just a hobby or a get rich quick scheme.

Businesses have processes. If you did something out of order, these might mean thousands of dollars lost.

For example, have you ever been to McDonalds? (weird question, who haven’t?)

Do you remember the time when you ordered a Bigmac? Their next question would be…

“Would you like fries with that?” You say yes then…

“Would you like a large Coke?” You say yes then…

“Would you like to add 2 apple pies for just $1?” You’d think “Why not? I already spent $6 so $1 won’t hurt”

What you’ve done is order a complete meal but actually, you’ve gone through the whole process called “Upsell”

And this “process” is responsible for making

7 Secrets To Eyeball-Sucking Ad Banners

By Carl On April 20, 2009 21 Comments

Anyone with a good slice of creativity can fire up Photoshop and whip out a good looking banner in a jiff – but not anyone can whip out a banner that’s a click magnet that still – looks good.

Not anyone until now.

I know I’ve been out for awhile, and the reason I keep telling you guys is that I manage a lot of stuff lately, especially right now because I was so blessed that I was able to get my own office with a full time programmer – which is pretty cool to say the least. Someone calling you “sir” just ups the ante.

So to get back to the game, I’ve compiled a couple of insider secrets that happen to work and get good results when I make banners for the advertisers on this blog.

And these insider secrets, doesn’t need you to be a graphics expert or a high paid

Send Your Videos Viral with HeySpread

You may have been thinking about starting a viral video campaign for a long time, but can’t get motivated to do it. Producing the video is the fun part of the campaign, but no one wants to go through the hassles of having to get the video out to all of the video networks so that it makes it in front of your target audience’s eyes.

It’s time consuming because the video has to be placed on each of the supporting sites in order for the viral video campaign to be successful. Most people quit after the first two or three networks because they find the process to be too tedious and boring to post them repeatedly.

Using a couple of networks certainly provides you with some exposure, but to really get a video circulating on the Internet,

Stop Making Excuses and Start Creating Solutions!

By Nathan_Johnson On March 26, 2009 7 Comments

I personally help people make money online, all of the time. One thing that I teach people is to get rid of the excuses that they have that is preventing them from making money online and preventing them from achieving their dreams. You, yes you can make money online and lots of it, you can make all your dreams come true. The first thing that you have to do is stop using excuses as crutches. None of us live perfect lives, I live a far from perfect life, but I’m still very successful online. I find a way to balance my personal life and my online business.

Look guys, some us fall flat on our faces before we achieve online success. My friend John Reese, you might of heard of him, was over $100,000 in debt before he became

Kidblogger’s Two-Step Formula To Online Branding Success

By Carl On March 25, 2009 16 Comments

A lot of people have been wondering…

“Carl, you haven’t given any updates for almost a month.”

I’ve been busy.

Last last week, I’ve been interviewed by a TV station. It’s my first time to appear on national TV so it’s gonna be great. Actually, some of my classmates already saw the commercial (that I didn’t LOL) and they were telling me about it.

Then this last March 18, I had the opportunity to speak to a crowd of marketing and sales people about online branding and how a blog can help a business. That took a lot of my time because I had to attend public speaking classes for the preparation.

It was great overall, I was more comfortable than the last time – I was even able to crack impromptu jokes, heh.

Here’s some pics from the seminar…
